The purpose of puffing machine classification and steam conditioner.
According to structure and working method, the screw puffing extruder machines could be divided into the following several kinds.
(1)Structure . According to the quantity of screw in the working part, it could be divided into Single-screw extruder and twin-screw extruder.The single-screw includes contra solem screw and cum sole screw. And the twin-screw includes syntropy twin-screw and anisotropy twin-screw.The effect of contra solem screw to raw materials in barrel is almost same as cum sole screw’s.But the shear strength and cleaning ability of syntropy twin-screw and anisotropy twin-screw are different. The cum sole single-screw and syntropy twin-screw are popular in market.
(2)Working method. According to whether the raw materials is steamed or not before come into screw barrel, it could be divided into wet style extruder and dry style extruder. If yes, we called wet style extruder; if not, we called dry style extruder.
The purpose of steam conditioner is improving materials temperature, soften and part aging meterials and supplying some water.The puffing rate of wet style puffing is higher than dry style puffing’s for most of raw materials. For example, just take temperature in consideration, if the puffing temperature of materials is 130℃，then the dry style screw need improve 110℃ of materials to meet the puffing temperature from the regular temperature of 20℃. But if you adopt wet style screw, the materials temperature is already 80℃ after steam conditioned. So the screw part just need improve 50℃ to meet the puffing temperature.And more energy is used to improve capacity for less energy for improving temperature. What’s more,the wear of screw and barrel is less in the wet style because of softern materials.
